Highlander – Episode 1 – The Awesome Movie Podcast

This was The Awesome Movie Podcast first review. We didn’t know what to expect and how we were going to do what we do. But all in all it turned out pretty damn good in my opinion. For those of you not in the know The Awesome Movie Podcast is made up of four guys Maverick, E-Roc, Shep, and Joberwacky who choose a movie, watch it separately from each other so they can present their unbiased opinion of the movie during the podcast.

So the first movie we decided to review was cult classic Highlander. This movie was first released in movie theaters on the 7th of March 1986. It was Directed by Russell Mulcahy. Written by Gregory Widen, Peter Bellwood, and Larry Ferguson. It starred Christopher Lambert, Roxanne Hart, Clancy Brown, and Sean Connery.

Highlander follows Connor ‘The HighlanderMacLeod as he finds out that he is immortal and now being hunted by other immortals all for the chance to be “The One” at the end of it all and to enjoy the Prize.

Memorial Day

Mermorial Day

I just wanted to take a minute out of doing Movie Reviews and other fun entertainment and thank those that are currently serving, those that have served and those who have given the ultimate sacrifice so that we may continue to have the Freedom that we have today.

Myself I am former Navy Operations Specialist.

I served proudly for nearly ten years. I was first stationed on-board the USS Curts (FFG-38).

My Second duty station was the USS John S. McCain (DDG-56)

My third duty station was USS The Sullivans (DDG-68)

My final duty station before I got out of the Navy was the Naval Network and Space Operations Command

So while you are having fun this weekend make sure you stop to remember those that have given themselves to defending the Freedom of this Country.

Dazed and Confused – Episode 8 – The Awesome Movie Podcast

That is right guys Episode 8 of The Awesome Movie Podcast is now live. In this episode we delve into Dazed and Confused which came out in September of 1993. Dazed and Confused follows a group of teenagers in their first day of summer in 1976. One of the things I find great about this movie is the amount of talent that they had. Such talent as  Jason London, Joey Lauren Adams, Milla Jovovich, Rory Cochrane, Adam Goldberg, Ben Afflect, Matthew McConaughey and even Renee Zellweger had an uncredited role in this movie.
