Episode 50 The Final Episode – Forrest Gump – The Awesome Movie Podcast

Forrest-Gump

E-Roc’s Summary:

It’s Episode 50!   YAY!    It’s also likely to be the last episode ever.   YAY?   For this one Jason, Eric and Jenn get into Forrest Gump since Shep was sick and couldn’t make it.    They get into the movie, Tom Hanks, lots of Disney stuff and generally spend a lot of time jabbering on like a monkey in a tree.   They’ve also decided to end the show.   The reality is everyone’s lives have moved on and they want a break.   Jason is getting married soon, Eric’s wife graduates nursing school about the same time.   In all seriousness we can’t thank everyone enough who listed to us.   From our good episodes to our crappy ones.    That anyone wanted to listen to us at all is astounding.    From the bottom of our hearts, thank you so much for your time.   It means a lot to us.

E-Roc’s Summary:

Episode 47 time is the Disney animated movie Wreck-It Ralph.   This 2012 movie stars John C Reilly, Sarah Silverman, Jack McBrayer and Jane Lynch.  The guys get into the movie and talk a lot about the arcade culture in the 80s going into the 90s and how much nostalgia this film has packed into it.   They also try to figure out all the various video game cameo’s and how surprisingly dark and touching this movie is.   Many may just ignore it because it’s a Disney animated film but there’s some real heart and substance to this movie.    It’s worth a viewing if you’ve never seen it.    Hope you enjoy.

For episode 44 it’s the mega hit Jurassic Park.     This 1993 Steven Speilberg film starring Sam Neil, Laura Dern, Jeff Goldblum and Sir Richard Attenborough is one of the biggest films of all time and a huge personal favorite of Jason.    The guys get into the film and spend more time on what annoys them, like the magical flying T-Rex, electrical rooms that are damn near impossible to get to and how sparring no expense really means cutting a lot of corners.    Over all they have a good time with this and we hope you enjoy.   If you’d like to give us reviews on iTunes that would be great to.
