Nick (Owen Wilson) and Billy (Vince Vaughn) are sales men for a watch company that goes out of business. The two quickly come to find out that there is slim pickings in the job market today. Billy comes up with the idea to apply to Google as Interns. Once on site they are placed into a team who are all young and computer savvy whereas Nick and Billy are looked upon as dinosaurs of a bygone age.
I enjoyed this movie, it was a fun and entertaining movie to watch. I get where people are coming off saying that this is a two-hour Google ad, it is Google and all the products they offer is there front and center but that is to be expected when you are doing a movie about an internship at Google.
Vince Vaughn and Owen Wilson work really well together and that is no surprise since we have seen them work together in The Wedding Crashers. Though the humor of this movie is along the same lines as almost every Vince Vaughn flicks and he can go a little long in delivering some of his jokes but to me that is how he is as a comedian, it’s worked for him in the past and he isn’t likely to change.
But there is more to this movie than watching Vince Vaughn and Owen Wilson bumble around Google trying to figure out what it is all these twenty-somethings are doing. Don’t get me wrong when they first get to Google that is what this movie is about but then it becomes something more it’s about team dynamics and how to work together with the people who you have. The four other team members are young adults that do not have too much real life experience and are all about excelling in the computer world and letting the real world fade into the background. Billy and Nick show them that not everything is 1’s and 0’s and that sometimes you have to put the computer down and experience what life has to offer.
If you are looking for a good laugh between all these action blockbusters and R-rated comedies check this movie out. It will make you laugh as well as take you for a ride. And it will make you want to work for Google who does have some of the best employee benefits around.
One of the movies I have been looking forward to seeing is Don Jon. It is Written, Directed, and Starring Joseph Gordon-Levitt. The trailer for it was just released yesterday and you can view it here.

Next week as of right now is going to be slow for movie reviews since I have screened a lot of the up coming ones already. I am trying to get someone to guest review After Earth for me since I will be unable to attend that one. I will post up the latest “The Awesome Movie Podcast” when it goes live, so stay tuned for that. And I will also continue to post movie trailers when they become available.
I also want to give a special thanks to a Mr. William Ortiz who made my new header for me. Came as a complete surprise and I love it. Though I have told him that I think it needs more lens flares.
